Apple’s new GPU allows for new and improved camera features and delivers the best camera photos and video using computational photography than any smartphone on the market today. The new GPU can run complex applications, including camera compute workloads.

However, the one processor that is even more important to Apple’s future is the advancements made in its Neural Engine, and I consider it, along with the new GPU, the most important silicon news that came from the iPhone 15 launch event.

The neural engine is for the assemblage of specialized compute cores on Apple silicon chips; it accelerates machine learning algorithms and can be used more effectively on Apple’s hardware and software.
