Smart glasses were one of the big themes at last month’s CES 2025. Manufacturers released six new smart glasses, and interest in this evolving area is growing.

In talking with many of these vendors, some said they believed smart glasses could become the next PC. As the technology behind smart glasses advances, they may provide an exceptionally mobile and personalized means of connecting to digital content, similar to how a personal computer serves as a gateway to digital content and services.

There is a valid argument that smart glasses could substantially enhance the personal computing experience. This technology could facilitate access to various digital tasks that are predominantly performed on PCs, tablets, and smartphones today.
